Crockpot BBQ Chicken $4.87

Crockpots are my go to for easy dump meals when I know I'm going to need dinner ready and I've got a lot to do during the day, or if I just want something easy I can throw all these ingredients in and not worry about for several hours and have dinner all ready to go. I absolutely love my crockpot because it's easy to get creative with just a few simple ingredients. Taking one portion of chicken from a frozen 5lb bag that I've split into three portions making each portion $3.25 ea. And about 3/4 of a bottle of KC masterpiece (you can use your favorite BBQ sauce)  at $1.18, and toss it into a crockpot on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
When the meat is thoroughly cooked it will be so tender you'll be able to shred it with a fork. Take all the chicken breast out, shred it, and put it back in the sauce. Stir it around.
At this point you're ready to put the meat on either buns, rolls, or bread for a sandwich. I chose bread this time at $0.44 for half the loaf for all the sandwiches. Now you can stop here at $4.87 for the meal, or if you have cheese on hand like I did that will put your total over $5.00 by only by a few cents. I hope you enjoy this smokey flavored easy to make inexpensive BBQ tasty classic.
